Sun Yat-sen's Contribution to China and the World I ([ECFG] System History Series)

Author: Liu Xiangyong

Dr. Sun Yat-sen is not an unfamiliar name to anyone, but do you really know him? Many of you may say that I have seen him in movies or on TV, and some may say that I have read about his life in history textbooks. But can we really understand Sun Yat-sen through the brainwashing education of the Communist Party and the Kuomintang?

Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925), originally named Sun Wen, was a native of Cuiheng Village, Xiangshan County, Guangdong Province, with the word Yixian. He took the name Zhongshan Woodcutter when he fled Japan and Yixian when he was baptized in the Church of Christ in Hong Kong, No. [Rixin]!

I. Sun Yat-sen's ideology.

From all the books about Sun Yat-sen's revolution, we can see that Sun's initial revolutionary ideas were born out of the contrast between Chinese society and the economic system and the advanced countries of the world.

1. Fraternity.

Sun Yat-sen's thought is first and foremost about universal love, which is also based on Christian biblical thought. The Bible says that the source of universal love comes from God, from God's beloved Son, Jesus Christ! In the beginning, God created the world and sent His only begotten Son into the world to replace all sinners with sinlessness and be crucified by the unlawful Roman soldiers (the four Gospels of the Bible), which is unconditional love and fraternity!

Sun was exposed to prayer and Christianity while studying in the United States and Hong Kong. He attended the Diocesan College and Central College of the Anglican Church, and later the Western Medical College in Hong Kong. He was baptized by Rev. Charles Hager, a missionary of the Congregational Church in Hong Kong. At the time of his baptism, his name was changed by Elder Edward Au, a teacher of Chinese studies, to "Yat Sen", which means "new day" and "new day", and the connotation of the Christian faith to those who repent and believe in Jesus Christ is called "new man". Later, Dr. Sun was led by Pastor Hickory to preach the gospel in Macau and Xiangshan, Guangdong.

2. Revolutionary Ideology.

On December 10, 1888, the royalist Kang Youwei first wrote to the Qing court to change the law, and the Qing court began to build the Beiyang Navy. In the summer of 1890, Sun Yat-sen and Chen Shaobai, You Lie and Yang He-ling began to advocate the revolution against the Qing Dynasty, and were known as the Four Great Invaders. As his social experience grew, Sun Yat-sen saw the suffering of the Chinese people, and he decided to give up medicine and engage in politics to change the fate of the Chinese nation through revolution, which is somewhat like This was somewhat like the American people holding a Bible in one hand and a gun in the other, that is, to pursue both God and human social justice!

II. The revolutionary process.

During the revolutionary process, Sun Yat-sen had to suffer a lot of hardships, he had to go overseas many times and was hunted down by the Qing court. They live in their own community circles and have no way to interact with the outside social circles.

1. Cannon Revolution.

In the army of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, Sun Yat-sen is still called Sun Cannon, mainly because Sun Yat-sen was more able to speak, and when he started to speak, he was usually so eloquent that many people were moved by his speeches! The Communist Party had brainwashed people into thinking that only the barrel of a gun could make the world go round, and that it was useless for Sun to speak without an army and without real power! But they ignore the fact that without Sun Yat-sen, the pioneer of the revolution, how would the people know what democracy, rule of law and freedom are? Sun Yat-sen's early revolutionary propaganda process was very difficult because most people did not understand it, they thought that having food and water would be enough to revolutionize their lives and they had nothing to do. The emperor deprived the people of all their rights, the right to speak, the right to marry, the right to their bodies, the right to wealth, the right to life, and so on, and then gave them only enough food to live on, and when they came together to oppose and rebel, he sent officials and soldiers to suppress and arrest them, so that they could live in the whirlpool of submissive thinking for a long time. The exceptions are when there is no food and no hope! If they didn't rebel, they would die, and if they did, they would die, so they might as well rise up to rebel and have a way out.

After a great deal of propaganda and promotion, Sun could only promote the revolution together with a group of students studying abroad. The slogan of the meeting was "To expel the captives, restore China, and establish a united government"! Although the uprising failed, it had a great propaganda effect both at home and abroad, and all Chinese knew that there was a revolutionary movement against the Qing government in Guangzhou, southern China, and that Sun Yat-sen was a man! At this point, some friends may say that Sun Yat-sen did not just fail once, but also experienced ten revolutionary failures.

3. A difficult revolutionary life

Sun Yat-sen failed from the first Guangzhou uprising to the following, the second Huizhou uprising, the third Chaozhou Huanggang uprising, the fourth Huizhou uprising, the fifth Qinzhou uprising, the sixth Guangxi Southwest Uprising, the seventh Guangdong Qinzhou uprising, the eighth Yunnan Hekou uprising, the ninth Guangzhou uprising, the tenth Guangzhou uprising all ended in failure, the reasons for failure were mostly these, treachery, lack of armaments, lack of soldiers, lack of food and so on. Although Sun Yat-sen experienced ten failed uprisings, his perseverance was beyond that of the general public. He experienced constant failures and kept raising resources for uprisings and revolutions.

4. Revolutionary Victory.

In May 1911, the Qing court announced the "national ownership of the railroad", the people of Sichuan protested and formed the "Comrades' Association for Road Protection", sent representatives to Beijing to petition, and also held strikes, strikes and strikes. In August 1911, the Central League was founded in Shanghai. On the eve of the Wuchang Uprising, the Hubei revolutionary groups rallied together under the banner of the Literary Society (a revolutionary group of the Hubei New Army) and the Communist Progressive Society, which recruited officers and soldiers from the New Army stationed in Wuchang, and the Communist Progressive Society, which was a local branch of the dissident organization of the Allied League, and on October 10 (August 19 on the lunar calendar), the Wuchang Uprising led to a chaotic rise of the Wuchang garrison and the arrival of the garrison commander Li Yuanhong as the governor of the Hubei military government. After a night of bloody battles, the Governor's Office was finally captured the next morning, and the revolutionary army occupied Wuchang (quoted from Wikipedia).

It took Sun Yat-sen's eleventh revolution to successfully start the tide of the Chinese Revolution, which soon dismantled the Qing government and caused a sensation in Asia and even around the world. The people began to know that they were a group of people who were enslaved, oppressed and humiliated.

III. Sun Yat-sen's character

Some people say that Sun Yat-sen's morality was noble, while others say that Sun Yat-sen's morality was not so good, and that he had a large number of concubines. In the context of the society at that time, a large number of concubines was a common phenomenon among the feudal-imperial power class, but as a leader of the civil rights revolution, was this a normal phenomenon? From this point of view, Dr. Sun's revolution was indeed not thorough, because the European-American culture was monogamous, while Dr. Sun was as morally corrupt as the traditional Chinese aristocracy, which was a stain on Dr. Sun's history, especially after he married Song Qingling in his later years, which was even more wrong, and dragged the Chinese people's revolutionary movement into the civil war between the two parties!

However, it cannot be said that Mr. Sun's character is all wrong. His character is only wrong in one way, just like the current U.S. President Donald Trump, who has two wives, which is out of place in a monogamous environment, a practice that should be broken by extreme Democracy, which legalized sexual openness, drugs, abortion and homosexuality, pulling Americans into a vortex of sin. However, President Trump is very sensible in the field of faith and politics, and has rejected the corrupt and degenerate policies of the Democratic Party, leading the American people back to God and starting a new journey of faith, morality and rule of law! He guided his revolutionary colleagues to fight to the death against the feudal imperial system and bureaucrats in China at that time. In order to eliminate the Qing government, he made a political deal with Yuan Shikai by giving up his temporary presidency. He was not greedy for money or profit, which can only mean that Dr. Sun Yat-sen lost his private virtue, but in terms of public virtue Dr. Sun Yat-sen won!

Conclusion.

Dr. Sun Yat-sen was just an ordinary Chinese citizen, some people called him the President of the People's Republic of China, or he could be called an ordinary Chinese citizen. But as a deceased politician, we cannot ask him to do anything more, but we must use his example to warn the children of the next generation! What we need is the Bible, centered on Jesus Christ, and what we need is a system of faith. Only a system of faith can honor God and love the people.

Blessings to all!
